Hi Sam,
There are 80 pavilions in Canada at the moment but we're missing photos of approximately 20. Version 3 of the Trail locator is up and running with .gps data for the pavilion locations and all of the registered trail at www.tctrail.ca/tlocator/.
To view, click on a Trail or Pavilion from either of the scrolling lists. A dialog box will appear on the map; click on the link "More information on this trail", highlighted in blue.
Looking forward to checking out your wikiloc.

Cool, now just to get the on road TCT temporary alternate routes posted.. and it'll be a complete trail :)
Im still working on that part, as the Across Canada Trail is the road alternate to this trail.
The GPS Map shows it all,... the easiest way it'll work is that i just go by whats being posted on the main Provincial GPS data page.
I like how it shows what activities can be done on the trails... making for a cool ICON to be down on the actual trail.
Im assuming that along with the technical info, photos of the trail will also be shown. .. Thats where the Flickr TCT photo streem can be shown. .. so all users photos can pop up as dots along the trail. ... of course having 1 official photo folder, and the other community folder. .. As i see the reasoning behind wanting to make sure that all photos are accurate. ... Time consuming and tedious, but worth it.
It looks awsome.
Please let me know about the major routing and where the consensus is on the branches of the trail.. I recommend including of southern ontario making a big loop, but having the end to end trail just include the loop down to niagra falls. .. as we already have the awsome grand river trail and the niagra river trail... making a loop.
The extention to Windsor/Sarnia isnt a loop. ... but should actually follow the coastal route along the way back ... but on the other hand, heading to grand bend and up north to the top of the bruce penunsula would be cool... and of course the bruce trail should also be sanctioned as a trans canada trail (hiking only)
....
Im here in Victoria asking around, and checking with long distance cyclests about the need to have that loop going from the crows nest to Lethbridge/ Medicine Hat, and looping back at swift current, to take side roads up to Drumheller, and to calgery and up to banff.. and north and back to Rockey mountain house to connect back to the trail. ..
(I think this Wiki loc version doesnt show it, but it will for the next version)
Should I email you or Christine with the newest GPX file showing the attached proposed routes? (I think sending you the GPX would be easiest for you guys to play with)
Awsome, so see all the trail segments nicely put with lables and such, im sure that'll advance more Adding some funkey angle views.
(It looks like theres someone on staff who knows what im talking about, nice :)
So ya, how it'll look on the GPS is where the actual existing trail is, the road alternate will be shown, so it touches both ends of the trail segment, and keeps on going to the next trail. ...
Have you guys seen the cgpsmapper website?? This is the place where the map makers around the world post the free maps. ... As we all now know that the GPS Device cant handle all the tracks, but having them on a Map makes sence.
(Incase someone is reading this and is making there own map, i have already compiled the TCT route sections... I just need to upload it to that website)
Cheers,
Sam
Oh ya...
Before the discussion was about which external site to reference..
TrailsCanada.com
It appears that that website has already answered my questions.
Thank you TrailsCanada.com :)
...
You guys just need to copy from there site for each trail segment. .. cool

Nice to see it all come together :)
Looking forward to covering the full route for 2009.
So challenge is now, to find people who are willing to take on the challenge.. to be the 1st to cross the country using all of the existing trail segments and sujested connecting route. .. Would be great togo as a big team all at once, and having it as a cherity event. .... 19,000km ... I dont expect everyone will want to cycle the whole trail.... but there ARE people out there who will :)
